If you are of the former, I can recommend Pathfinder, the next historical epic property with action scenes dramatically interrupted by slow-motion inserts of splashing filth, glinting swords, flying blood, and ornate battle helmets backlit and awash in boogie fog. The "Song of Defiance" promotes restoration to allies within 50 feet and the "Song of the Courageous Defender" provides immunity to fear effects to allies, while forcing enemies to succeed on a will save or have to attack one of their allies. There are two kinds of people in the world: those who think slow-motion is cool and those who do not. The "Song of Broken Chains" grants all allies within 50 feet freedom of movement and immunity to compulsion spells and effects. Each time they succeed on a saving throw, they gain 2d6+ the Azata's Mythic Rank healing. They also have a number of Bard-like performances they can use, like the "Song of Heroic Resolve," which grants all allies within 50 feet a luck bonus. Their Mythic Abilities allow them to level and strengthen their dragon companion, and they can summon unique creatures, like Mastodon, Moanic Divas and Havoc Dragos to fight alongside or protect them and their allies in combat. They also have a spell called "Heroes Never Surrender" that restores all abilities and spell slots up to level seven, while removing all negative levels, exhaustion and fatigue. Their "Rainbow Arrow" bounces from target to target one time per four caster levels, dealing random energy damage at 1d12 per two caster levels. Azata can create rainbow domes over their party members to create an immunity for everyone to a specific type of damage. They can also send out healing energy to allies within 30 feet or create 15 foot cones of wind to knock enemies for a loop. Azata have the power to inspire, encourage and boost the morale of their party members.

How to Become an Azata in Wrath of the Righteous Like their polar opposite the Aeon, Azata can be convinced to give into the rage and lust for power that will turn them toward the Devil Mythic Path. The interesting thing about the Azata is that, despite their goodness and purity, they are still corruptible. Related: Dungeons & Dragons Should Revisit Spelljammer and Dark Sun in 2022 They tend to be mysterious, keeping their true nature a secret, and for the most part, they are solitary, preferring to travel alone than with groups of their own kind. Still, that doesn't stop them from forming powerful (if not short-lived) bonds with creatures of goodness and purity. At times, they take on forms reminiscent of the good Fey, whom they are often confused for.īorn from joy and beauty that is Elysium, like most other outsiders, Azata cannot procreate with one another or other mortal beings. Some resemble animals or elements, while others take on appearances so strange it's impossible to truly describe them. Many consider Azata to be elven in appearance, and though they do share some similarities to elves, they also have more primal and mystical features. They tend to arrive where they are needed, disappearing afterwards as quickly as they came.

It is the Azata's belief that evil itself can never be eradicated, but they still lend their aid to put back in its place. They travel the planes searching for those in need, lending their aid to causes that fight evil. Pathfinder's Azata are Celestial beings native to Elysium that stand for freedom and righteousness.
